The 2nd Climate Observation Conference to be held in Darmstadt, Germany, 17-19 October 2022.
Dear GEO community,
Abstract submission for the 2nd Climate Observation Conference to be held in Darmstadt, Germany, 17-19 October 2022 is now open!
The event will focus “on activities and solutions that help to achieve a fully implemented, sustainable, and fit-for-purpose global observing system for climate” and the outcomes will be an important input to UNFCCC COP27.
We invite the GEO community to submit abstracts addressing the conference themes and illustrating how GEO activities contribute to monitoring Essential Climate Variables (ECVs) and other essential variables on and for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Active participation is encouraged as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen collaboration between GEO and GCOS, with the GEO Secretariat serving on the conference Scientific Committee alongside other key partner organisations.
Abstracts can be submitted online through the conference website for either an oral or poster presentation. The deadline for abstract submission is 1 June 2022.
Participants can register for the conference through the online registration tool on the conference website. The registration deadline is 23 September 2022.
