To welcome the distinguished Professor Emeritus in Geophysics Matti Leppäranta, the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS) will host a one-day seminar focusing on discussions of “Geophysics of the Cryosphere”. It will foster cross-disciplinary perspectives on the ocean-atmosphere-land system, bridging process studies with operational needs. We warmly invite friends and colleagues to join this seminar.

International Symposium on Data Science (DSWS-2023) - Building an Open Data Collaborative Network in the Asia-Oceania Area

The workshop is an event in the framework of the international program - “Group on Earth Observations (GEO)” and “High Mountain and Cold Regions Working Group (HiMAC) of Digital Belt and Road Program (DBAR) ". The workshop will focus on the connections of Environment Changes between High Mountain Asia and Arctic Region.

Polar Data Forum V in Cambridge UK (Oct 30 - Nov 3, 2023)

This session will explore new ways and opportunities for big data to support the Arctic sustainable development and further promote international science cooperation, build multi-disciplinary research road map based on big data, and supporting for the global implementation of sustainable development goals.

The Seventh International Symposium on Arctic Research (ISAR-7) will take place in Tachikawa, Tokyo from March 6 to 10, 2023. We decided to hold ISAR-7 in a hybrid format (partially in-person and partially online) in July when the regulations for foreign visitors entering Japan were complicated with the VISA waiver program stopped under the COVID-19 pandemic situation at that time.

Essential Cold Regions Variables Development - The meeting was not held at 2019, while it was scheduled for the variables for services purpose, need to be discussed.
